      :i'm doing my project on the final vooyage of the lusitania. i'm wondering if it's ok to stop as soon as the torpedo hits the boat or would i need to go on and give deatils about the sinking

      Remember, you can decide and define exactly what goes into your essay. Therefore you must be careful with your title. "The Sinking of the Lusitania" to me implies the torpedo sinking AND the sinking. However something like "The Lead-up to the Sinking of the Lusitania" would mean you could go into details about the german sub, the Lusitana leaving dock, the course the two vessels took until they were within range and then finish with the firing of the torpedo. Overall, you can best decide where to stop, depending on the detail available to you. Even if you were to go with the second option, I would still recommend including something about the sinking, but it's your choice.
