      im trying to get started on a portfolio to get into DIT. im not amazing at art but aiming for a b3 in honours. any tips for portfolios??

      i think its best to involve art of all different mediums to show your versatility eg. pencils, chalks, paints, pastels, collages, line drawing, 3d etc and including a sketchbook or 2 won't do any harm. if your 3d is too big you can always take photos of it instead but i think generally your whole portfolio must revolve around a theme, i keep forgetting to ask my art teacher about this but i'll find out. i'm not sure do you get given the themes or do you just make one up…

      basiclly your portfolio should convey your personality on paper. what inspires you ie. nature,politics, seasons,t.v, perticular still lifes what ever blows your skirt up. but as cray student girl said it should have wide range of mediums and use a versitile theme. make it different so they get a wide aspect of your talents and ability.

      You might see some errors like that on the site. It happened when transferring AllHonours to a new database last summer :)
