Introduction – address the statement: what is the impact his poetry had on you? Did it make you feel happpy, make you realise something etc? List the parts of his poetry that helped achieve this and the poems this can be seen in.

Each of the parts of poetry you list should be focused on in one paragraph. These can be things from his perspective of a child to his affection for the local. Regardless, deal with each of the topics in the following manner:

      1) introduce the topic

      2) say how it had the impact on you that you mentioned in the introduction, e. g it makde you feel happy, made you realise something etc

      3) give examples of this in his poetry to show evidence of this (x 4/5 paragraphs)

Conclusion: State the significance of the impact Kavanagh’s poetry had on you. For example, if it made you realise something, state what that realization might prompt you do, or what to think in the future etc.

Just to say kavanagh came up last year and is not a favorite for this year so it might be a bit of a waste to work heavily on him. I may be wrong but there are much better chances of Yeats, frost Dickenson and Boland coming up if you know what i mean.

      Best plan of attack
