In addition to the announcement that the Leaving Cert 2020 examinations are to be rescheduled, it has now been confirmed that the Junior Cert 202 examinations will be completely canceled.
They are to be replaced by in-school exams in the new academic year this September.
The Department of Education stated the decision had been made based on advice from the National Public Health Emergency Team.
Schools are to remain closed until further notice.
